Roman 2nd c A.D. copy of an original dated ca 200 BC.

"This type of statue is known thanks to a large number of ancient copies, the most famous of which is housed in the Palazzo Rospigliosi in Rome.
It may belong to a group representing the combat between the gods and the giants, dedicated by Attalus I, king of Pergamun from 241 to 197 BC., on the Acropolis in Athens."
