Bronze Mirror Cover
Greek, 4th BC.
Louvre, Paris https://www.louvre.fr/en
.
"Greek box mirrors consisted of a cover and a base joined by a hinge.
The outer surface of the cover was usually decorated with an appliqué, while the inside sometimes sometimes featured an engraved design.
The base constituted the mirror itself, with a reflective bronze surface on the front and a decoration of concentric circles on the back."
